Report: Imposing sanctions on Russia matter of few days for EU
MOSCOW, Feb 21 (PRIME) -- The E.U. can decide on sanctions against Russia in a matter of a few days, because all documents are ready, news portal Euractiv reported on Monday.
"When it comes to their imposition, Euractiv understands the E.U. could move rather quickly, within days, on the proposed package since all legal texts are prepared and could be approved by E.U. foreign ministers, likely at an emergency meeting to be called by E.U.’s chief diplomat Josep Borrell in case of Russian military action," the newspaper reported.
According to the Euractiv sources, the sanctions plan is coordinated with the U.S., the U.K. and Canada and is discussed with South Korea, Japan and Switzerland.
